Bridge the Economic Gap Day

Picnic on Waikiki Beach.

along Waikiki Beach on Labor Day, September 4, 2011.

CWA Local 3310 hung their banner at a local event!
You could be cool and support the Universal Living Wage!

Another shot from CWA Local 3310 in Louisville, KY.

What with floods, wildfire, tornadoes, hurricanes, and even the occasional earthquake, it's been a tumultuous year for ULW supporters. In some cases, the towns that often hold ULW events are stranded without bridges to stand upon! So we are putting up both new groups and our groups from last year, to give you a place to start looking for a Bridge event. Last year's groups that have not contacted us either way are marked with ***, so double-check those groups!

We hope that some of you can get out there with your banners, since it's obvious that, more than ever, we need a Universal Living Wage! As always, get those pictures to us, because we are still awarding cameras for extra special bridge events.

TAX DAY 2005

An Open Letter to the Universal Living Wage Campaign...

Richard,

I hope this email finds you doing well. Our campaign on Tax Day went great. I utilized 37 of my stewards to handbill as well as fly the UniversalLivingWage signs that you sent. I still have a few taped to the windows of our Local Lodge.

On June 15, 2005 the Detroit Air Transport will be performing informational picketing at The Detroit Metro Airport from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and we will use whatever signs I have left along with our picket signs. This is a huge union town as you know, and we get a lot of attention about the cause. I passed along signs to our local UAW members, and SEIU members.

I would love to participate in the Bridge Banners. Our Local Lodge is committed to your organization and the cause. I will be proposing a motion for a donation to your organization to our membership, which I know will pass...have to do the formality thing.

Keep up the great work!

Stephen M. Gordon
