Dear Senator OR Congressman OR Congresswoman (Repeat name here): |
Everyone knows that minimum wage workers all over this country can't afford housing with the minimum wage of $5.15 per hour or even $6.65 an hour. Our nations' labor force (i.e. cafeteria workers, janitors, construction labors, etc.) either have to have a second full time job or they are working while being homeless. This is Un-American. You and I both know that the cost of housing is different all over this country and that one flat wage won't work. I want you to please support the Universal Living Wage Campaign and our formula. Our web site is www.UniversalLivingWage.org. Please look at it. I'm sure you'll find it very interesting. The Universal Living Wage formula relates the minimum wage to the cost of housing in each local community across America. |

I'm supporting this, and so are my friends in the city of (your city here) and the state of (your state here). We've joined the Universal Living Wage Campaign because homeless workers are not good for America, and I can't stand it anymore. |
Please help fix this problem. This is a wonderful solution and it protects small business, too. Thank you for your time and trouble. |
